ROLE DESCRIPTION

In the Support Virtual Lab Manager role, you’ll be helping track, process, and manage orders placed by VLMs which will involve interacting with vendors, customer service representatives, as well as other HappiLabs employees. Though we are “virtual” to our customers, this role is for onsite in the Chicago office. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track, process, and manage orders for customers

  • Communicate with suppliers (sales reps, technical help & customer service) to obtain pricing, technical information and retrieve order updates 

  • Proactively solve logistics and supply chain issues

  • Organize basic accounting details, e.g. purchase orders and invoices reporting progress

  • Present at team meetings

  • Utilize proprietary and off-the-shelf software to manage your customers 


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

A strong candidate will have experience in at least 2 of the following:

  • Lab Technician or Research Associate

  • Purchaser in a scientific or academic setting

  • Logistics experience

  • Customer service experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

COMPENSATION

  • Full-time salaried $45K to $55K, depending on experience

  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance

  • 401(K) Plan

  • 20 days of paid days off
